| Parish Game Night The next Family Ministry event will be Game Night in the St. Mary Room, inside the Social Hall, on Friday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 8:30pm. Bring your favorite board or card games (family-appropriate, please) and a healthy snack to share. Please, no electronic or video games. This is a free event. No sign-ups necessary. If you do not have family members to join you, come anyway and meet some members of your parish family. All ages are welcome. Children ages 7 and under may come in their pajamas. Children must be accompanied by adults. |
| Volunteer Corner All Parents attend a pre-baptismal class prior to baptizing their child at St. Joseph. The class for Spanish-speaking parishioners is usually held on the First Saturday of the month. We need a bilingual assistant who would also be available once or twice a year to teach the class. If you are bilingual and would like to be part of this ministry, we invite you to contact the parish office. We are also looking for an individual or a group who would take on the weekly ministry of cleaning the altar linens starting as soon as possible. If this is something you would like to do, please contact the parish office. |
| Soccer Challenge Is Coming Saturday, September 24, the Knights of Columbus here at St Joseph will sponsor their first Soccer Challenge for Boys and Girls, ages 10-14. This is an annual competition held throughout the Order and involves the Penalty Kicking Skill. Participants are placed in age groups based on their age as of January 1, 2011. You must have been the age of 10 thru 14 on Jan. 1, 2011. Copies of birth date verification will be required. Registration forms will be available in the vestibule after September 4. Check-in and registration for the event will begin at 10am on the lawn area on Sept. 24 and close at 10:30am for the 10 and 11 year age group, and close at 11am for the 12 to 14 year age group.
